I'm officially a Master

Graduation Ceremony

Recently, I went back to UK with my parents for my graduation ceremony. It is really something to remember and another big event for me. I'm finally a postgraduate graduate. If that exist. Anyway, here's some photos to remember that day. ^_^

Got my cert. It's exactly the same as my degree except it now write MASTER instead. 

(Mind you..the wind is so strong it nearly blew my cert away.. T_T) 

And this time, I remember to throw my mortar. ^_^

I know I had been neglecting this blog ever since I'm back at Malaysia. It's not that there's nothing to share but I just don't feel like blogging. Laziness overtook me. Give me some time. This blog is not dead. Not yet anyway. ^_^

For those that keep checking for updates, please accept my apologies. xD  Really appreciate it that you take the time to check on me. I'm touched. Can you see the tears brimming on my eyes? No? Well, it must be your eyes then.. Go check them.. :P

Finally it really really really reached the end of my postgraduate course. Got our result and feedback. Final tutorial at our room Maudslay 231b. Pack up stuff at the Expo. Saying goodbyes all around. Taking photos with people I will miss.

Going Barcelona Friday morning, 2am +, back on the 3rd.

Need to move to new house on the 3rd, going down London on the 4th

Terribly hectic. 

Wake at 6.30am this morning. 7.15am start to pindah all 7 boxes of 20+kg down to the gate for collection. Then spend the rest of the day packing the left over stuff, cleaning my room, packing for Spain..

Super tired now.

Monday 18th July '11


It's the FINAL PRESENTATION finally.

I experienced the mixture of sad and happy emotions. You'll know why. XD

However, when I woke in the morning, I experienced a terrible stomachache and also feel like vomiting.. T_T (I suspect is food poisoning...) I almost want to call and tell my classmate that I'm not coming. I think to myself, if it's not the FINAL FINAL FINAL, I would not drag myself out of my room. I keep my finger cross that I would not faint on the road.

Feeling very weak, I walked to Uni. Reach there, load my presentation on the screen and sit and wait. Feeling still very bad. And I realised the little notes I made last night was forgotten on my desk. T^T

Anyway, the presentation runs smoothly. I gather all my courage and start my presentation. (After all, I know it wouldn't affect my marks.. XD)

On another note, Tuesdays night we will be gathered at Peng's house for some pizza and drinks. (Not that I drink.. XD)

Next week, day not decided, it will be at Isak's house for the long awaited BBQ! I'm really looking forward to that. XD

And now, it is time to think of holidays. I'm looking at places to go in Barcelona.

And then, MEETING SIAWCHENG! OMygawDDDD! And we will both fly.. I mean, sit to Europe! Paris, Italy, Austria and Prague! Wait for me!!!!

Then, back to Nottingham in Sept, I'm thinking of joining a 4 days trip to Scotland by myself. If I still have some money left. XD I always wanted to go Scotland...... Scotland!!!!!

Next, back to Malaysia. Food.. Oh, and my piano... my beloved piano. I miss you sooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!! It has been... more than 6 months...!!! I need you darling!

Then, gathering with all my darling friends... You guys are not forgetting me are you??!!! Spare sometime to meet me!

Next, planning places to go in Singapore mid of Oct. ^_^

Then, cousin wedding in Nov.

Back to UK with dad and mom end of Nov.

Oh, and planning the trip to Taiwan soon. ^_^

It's nearing the end of the week again. Today the Expo is open to the public. Went there around 11am because Xian wanted to see why her prototype aren't working and later on lunch with their classmates.

Went to Post Office before though. Xian reach Bonington 1st.

Before I step into the building, Xian already called me to tell me my poster had fell. Again. This time, I try to use the glue gun to stick it. Again. Before I have the chance to stick the felled poster back up again, the other follow suit. =.=" Both want the same treatment. So, I gave them both a great dosage and put them to bed up to the panel again.

Hope they stay they from now onwards till the end of the Expo and after the External examiner evaluate them.

Meet Ran, a new friend I found during the Open day when I worked as Student Ambassador. She is going to start her MA this Sept and now she's taking the English course. So, she came to the Expo this morning with all her classmates. Bring her around and chat with her a while. She's from Taiwan.

After that, lunch at Orange Tree. Chat a while with Xian and Fiola's classmates and help them take some photos.

Back home. Skype and sort out all my photos. Found out I have almost 500+ photos from the two days. XD

Next, I have to prepare the presentation powerpoint, present and done.

ps. Suddenly I feel that preparing for the Expo is much more fun than having the Expo. After all, there's nothing much to do during the Expo. It's so free now that I feel... kinda weird. Hmm...

THURSDAY 14TH JULY 2011

MA EXPO 2011 begans!

There's just too many photos to choose to upload and I'm so tired to do that now hence I will leave it till I'm well fed and rested.

For now, I'm going to talk about what happened today.

Today is the private view for industry invites and friends and family. Very exciting at first.

Began the day by choosing which clothes to wear since they mention - SMART as the dress code, which I take it as, 'dress up please'.

Ask opinions from various friends regarding whether to wear WHITE or BLACK dress....... I'm going crazy over these two dresses. Since I'm very free since this morning, I have all the time to choose. ^_^

Finally decided on the black dress since it was highly voted by few of them.

The night before, tried curling my hair with socks, YES, SOCKS. That naughty SC keep laughing at me. :P

Highly influence by that Xian and Fiola.. So I tried it as well. This morning when I take the socks off my hair, it became like a .. spring.. And I can't stop laughing! XDDDDDD

Anyway, from everyone comments, it seems my hair looks not bad.. 1st time tried this and it works. ^_^

Reach Bonington around 1pm+ and start to take lots of photos. Since there's not much people around, taking photos is fun. ^_^

Get our Expo catalogue from the office and browse through them. Not bad. XD

Did some final touch to the display and sit..no, stand back and wait. ^^

It is suppose to start at 4pm but there's not much of them. After an hour though, more people arrive. However, it seems my area are a bit.. lonely.. XDDD

Anyway, towards the end, I got some quite interesting feedbacks from the visitors. And that's all I want. ^_^

Oh, and some of my photos that I took during the Giving the Eye project was shown at a big tv screen as well. I'm a proud photographer. ^_^

It's so tiring to stand around since about 1pm till just now 8pm. And keep smilling at the strangers..make my cheek ache. XD

Fiola says it's like our wedding... where we keep taking photos and smilling at everyone.. XDDDDD

Nani is a little drunk because she keeps drinking the red wine.. LoL.. Xian is a little pening as well..XD

Wednesday, 13th July '11

Very fast. It's the eve of MA Expo 2011 already. Without realising, it's already nearing the end. The big day of everything we've been doing for the year is getting here.. less than 24 hours by the time I'm writing this. 

The opening of MA Expo 2011 is at tomorrow, 14th July 2011 4pm. 

Today I did not go back Uni early as I print some photos at home. Last minute, thought of doing a little photo book for my H-Box. Took some studio photos yesterday so just print them out on some photo papers. After doing that, went to Bonington to dump my stuff at my corner and dash to the Print Shop to bind them.

Also did some little jewellery at home as well. Laser cut them previously and now decided to put them together inside my boxes. ^_^

Tuesday 12th July '11

Today is another many-walk-to-walk-day. My leg damn tired. I think I  sprained my leg a little yesterday. It hurts today. Walked so slow the whole day.. XD

After settling my stuff with my bank (it's finally done), back to Bonington to continue to set up my display. The poster need to be re-double-side-tape as it fell.. T_T

After that, helped Nani to take some photos of her display as she wants to make some posters. (In the end however, I think she retake those photos with the help of those pro-photographer-from-the-uni-recommended-by-another-lecturer. =.="""

After fooling around.. it's time to go up to MA Studio again to continue. Back to Maudslay workshop to transport Xian's plinth to the studio. It's like.. finally.

Then, decided to 'try' setting up my sextuplets on the plinth to see how they look like. (Don't dare to put them all up until the last minute incase of 'accidents'.. haha)
